The 6 Best Health Apps for Your Healing Journey

We live in the age of technology which means everyones almost always on their phone. Instead of trying to push you away from that, I want to encourage you to find ways to use your phone for the greater good of your health.

Zero: This is my favorite app for learning about different fasts and tracking my fasting schedule.

Some of the features include-

  • A Timer: This is designed to help you stay on track.You just have to set your goals and start your timer and Zero will send you reminders and insights to keep you motivated.

  • Journal: You can use this to reflect on how you feel during your fasts and Zero will graph your moods so you can track trends and adjust over time.

  • Challenges: You can Opt into Challenges that align with your goals, invite friends to make it a competition and unlock achievements to keep you motivated.


Myfitness Pal - This app is best for meal tracking.

Some of the features include-

  • The biggest food database with over 14 million foods to help you accurately log everything you eat

  • Over 250 healthy recipes and over 150 workout routines to help you stay healthy

  • A feature called meal scan that allows you to scan the barcode of what you’re eating with your phone’s camera and add it to your meal tracker


Waking up App: This by far my favorite guided mediation app. I love the lessons and recommend it for any one looking to balance their mindset.

Some of the features include-

  • Guided meditation practice for beginner, intermediate, and advanced meditators to help you reduce stress, sleep better, and improve your mindset.

  • Daily mindfulness reminders to help you stay present in your daily life.

  • Short audio lessons on topics like science, philosophy, and the nature of mind.

  • Guided conversations with a variety of teachers, scholars, and scientists.


Interval timer - you can get a killer workout with just this. It’s free and Perfect for use at home, out in nature or in the gym.

Some of the features include-

  • Customizable sets for high/low intensity interval training and rest.

  • Continue to use even when screen is locked.

  • Ability to still play your music during your workout.

  • You can post your workouts to Facebook or Twitter.

  • Save settings as templates for future workouts.


UpLight - This was game changing recommendation made to me by a friend. It Really helps with Your sleep schedule, especially if you are up during off hours.

Some of the features include-

  • Helps you wake up gradually with a gentle sunrise that comes from your bedside lamp.

  • It is designed to help you reset your sleep cycle and get better sleep by reducing melatonin suppressing blue light in the evenings.

  • Comes with 16 million colors to choose from and allows you to customize your lighting to match your mood any time of day.

CTN Fitness App - This is my app that I created through trainerize. I spent a lot of time working on it to make sure it gave you the resources you need to crush your health and fitness goals.

Some of the features include:

  • Customized daily movement plans.

  • Goal setting and accountability coaching.

  • Guided meditation and journaling.
