How to Start Creating Content That Converts Consistently With This Strategy

Are you eager to carve out your space in the digital world but find yourself lost in the sea of content creation? If so, today's blog post is tailored just for you.

So today I’m going to share “The 5x5 Evergreen Content Strategy” that I’ve developed over the last few years and have used to create evergreen content that can be recycled for multiple months without becoming repetitive.

But before we dive into the strategy itself, let's lay down a crucial framework for converting viewers into clients with "The 3 C’s" framework.

The 3 C’s Framework:

  • Content

  • Conversations

  • Conversions

The ultimate goal? Turning attention into revenue.

Today, however, we're zooming in on the first "C": content.

Now, if you’re a beginner in this game, you should also pay attention to a rule I learned from Alex Hormozi which is the 1x1x1 rule:

  • Pick 1 platform

  • 1 format

  • And 1 avatar to start

Now, let’s unpack "The 5x5 Content Conversion Strategy."

You see, like most people do, I used to just make content on what came to mind, whatever was trending or what I thought people needed to know, but this is not a great way to go about it because you’ll end up in a hamster wheel where you’re feeling like you’re always creating content, always coming up with new things and unsure what’s working and isn’t working.

(Which in the long run will make you feel unfulfilled.)

So to not end up like that, you should make content about these 3 things:

  1. A topic you’re knowledgeable about

  2. A topic you’re passionate about

  3. And something that’s actually helpful

And we do this by using “The 5x5 content conversion strategy”.

This is something me and my team has come up with that’s helping us create evergreen content that converts. So for my example, I talk a lot about health and with this strategy I have 5 different subtopic frameworks I can use to talk about health.

The reason why we use these subtopic frameworks is because it helps with the ideation and creation in the writing stage.

So here are the 5 subtopic frameworks you can use to get going and organize your thoughts and after that, we’ll talk about how to make this evergreen.

Number #1 is vision:

  • This is where you want to talk about the BIG vision and the BIG picture you have about your topic.

Number #2 is value:

  • This is where you get a little technical

  • You break down technically how something is done

  • That anyone can plug in to know how to get a specific outcome

Number #3 is vulnerability:

  • This is where you want to talk about your personal transformation

  • Because ideally you’ve done the thing you’re talking about

  • So if it’s to lose weight, you’ve done that

  • If it’s to become a millionaire, you’ve hopefully done that yourself

  • It could be for whatever skillset you have

Number #4 is viral:

  • So this is if everybody knew this about your  topic, which in my case is health, the internet would explode

  • What is that thing in your field

Number #5 is victory:

  • This is talking about the success story of somebody else

  • So in my case, it’s a client that has utilized my strategies, system, or the way I teach

So that’s the 5 subtopic frameworks.

Now, the process to get these 5 frameworks going is first of all to research, where you map out your ideas.

When you’ve mapped out your ideas, you do a video draft where you just talk through your ideas. This will be very helpful and give you more clarity.

Next, you’ll take that video and then you or someone you hire, can use that video draft to write out a proper script for a long-form video. Then you would record and edit that long-form video.

And again, hire folks to do this. For me, I’m only doing the top of the funnel stuff like recording the videos, I’m not the one who edits the videos, writes the emails, or sets up the campaigns, cause it’s not my strong side.

Now you would want to pull short form video ideas from that long form video script. Ideally around 5 SFV’s from each long form video script. Which would be 25 short form videos from all 5 subtopics.

In addition to that, you would pick your 5 favorite short form video scripts from those 25 you’ve made and then transform them into ads specifically…

That’s 30 short form videos and basically a month’s worth of videos

So from 1 long form video, you’re pulling 5 short form video scripts written out, then record those short form videos, edit them and lastly, distribute everything for the platform you’ve chosen, the format you’ve chosen, and the avatar you’ve chosen.

Btw, if you want to learn more about the tools that we use to record in terms of video, sound, lighting, the software to edit, software to schedule, and what kind of mic I use, let me know in the comments, and I’ll make more videos on that.

Ideally, you should be done with this first round of content in a month, where you’re averaging a bit over 1 long form video a week and short form videos.

So here’s how this content production process becomes evergreen.

You see, when you post about vision, vulnerability, value, viral, and victory, you’re covering everything people wanna know. So you’ve figured out the core of your content.

But now, you can turn these long-form videos, short form videos, and ads into multiple month’s worth of content by using The R’s - Which is to rewrite, revise, and re-edit.

Now, when you rewrite, you wanna focus on improving the hooks in your short form videos because you want to effectively grab attention, which is the whole purpose of these short-form videos.

Think of it like writing a paper in school. The more time you spend on revising, re-editing, re-formulating the idea. The fewer people will notice that you’re basically just recycling the stuff you’ve already used.

But we can also take it to another level of evergreen because now that we have these A-class short form video scripts, we can start playing with the format of how we present them.

So usually you would start with face to the camera short form videos, but you could also do different types of videos. So it could be a get ready with me type of video but the words are the completely same,

  • Instagram stories where you have the complete same message,

  • A static image with the script as the caption,

And you could also do some b-roll videos where you have the hook on the video and it points to the caption to read the rest.

You’re presenting the content in so many different ways, while people are getting the message you’re trying to send.

So by following “The 5X5 Conversion Strategy” like this, putting together content is a lot easier, more manageable, and you know what’s going on, while you’re making it better for each month, and as a result, you get great content that will grow your online presence and convert.
